iPhone or iPad

The iOS and iPadOS beta is available only through TestFlight, Apple’s free app for testing apps before they reach the App Store.
1. Install the free TestFlight app from the App Store.
2. On your iPhone or iPad, open the BetterSign TestFlight link, tap Accept, then Install.
TestFlight installs updates for you. Each build expires after 90 days, and we publish new ones before then.

Join the TestFlight beta

Android phone or tablet

BetterSign is listed as a beta app on Google Play. Anyone can join.
On your device, open the Google Play beta link and tap Become a tester. Then tap Download it on Google Play and install.
Updates arrive through Google Play like any other app. Access can take a few minutes to appear after you join.

These links always serve the newest build. After installing, BetterSign keeps itself up to date.

macOS

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag BetterSign onto the Applications folder, then open it from there. It needs to live in Applications to update itself.

Windows

Run the downloaded installer. No administrator rights needed.
The beta isn’t code-signed with Microsoft yet. Your browser or Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may flag the download (choose Keep), and Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” (click More info, then Run anyway). If Defender blocks it completely, let us know.

Linux

64-bit Intel/AMD, Ubuntu 22.04 or newer. Paste this into a terminal. No sudo needed.

This is beta software. Expect bugs and things that change between builds. Your identity lives only on your device, so uninstalling the app deletes it. Install new builds as updates rather than reinstalling, and don’t rely on a beta identity for anything important yet. Found a bug or have feedback?
